Working as a police officer in the busiest city in the country certainly has its own set of inherent problems. It seems like every day that I suit up for work, I am already being asked to try and catch up on issues that are overwhelming my team. We could be working a case with strong leads and get a call about a cold case that needs our attention, so at any moment we can be dealing with a dozen different cases that all need my undivided focus.

The new technology we were introduced to was actually installed in the prison. This inmate telephone call monitoring system would change the way me and my officers dealt with certain crimes.
Securus Technologies has their company based in Dallas, and they employ over one thousand of the most dedicated employees in the country. These employees are all committed to a single objective, making this world that much safer. This was something as an officer I can really appreciate, considering how dangerous it can be dealing with those felons on the streets.
The way the inmate call monitor works is simple, it scans every call the inmates make on prison phones, and isolates chatter on any subject imputed to the system. If we are hunting a fugitive and his names is detected, the LBS software alerts my team instantly about what we can do to apprehend him.
